An Electrical Design Engineer with ICA, cabling experience is required to work for a delivery contractor that specialise in water treatment projects in the Southern part of England. This will be working on a major project.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Carrying out design calculations.
    * Developed engineering specifications and schedules.
    * Carry out quality assessment of the design works to ensure that at the design stage of the project, risk assessment in accordance with the Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulation was taken into consideration.
    * Coordinate and liaise with site supervisors regarding the installation process. 
    * Maintain an interest in costing and the tendering of additional works. 
    * You will be involved in a variety of projects with a view to optimising and reducing the energy consumption at a site.
    * Review of existing design of all electrical system.
    * Development of conceptual design. 
    * The production of engineering design and detail in accordance with the Supplier's quality management system.
    * Assisting with the appointment of sub-contractors.

Essential:

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or other relevant subject
  • Experience in water industry and preferably previous experience in the design of water / wastewater treatment plants and water / wastewater networks.
  • Knowledge and skills in the in the planning, specification, design procurement and commissioning of projects.
  • Strong communication skills all levels with the client, suppliers, contractors and design team - both written and oral.
